A note from me

I studied architecture at UTS, then spent my first years at Gen One Sydney running up to fifteen CDC, DA and CC packages at a time for duplexes and custom homes. Volume taught me how every stage sets up the next one.

At Futureflip I lead a team of five designers inside a design-and-construct builder, so my work doesn't stop at approval. Much of my week is spent after the contract is signed: comparing trade quotes with our contracts administrator, procuring specialist products, running programmes, coordinating inspections and answering the questions that come back from site.

The projects I'm proudest of were problems before they were buildings: a rooftop that couldn't be enclosed, a DA that had been refused, a basement ramp caught between a footpath and the service beneath it.

I'm completing a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (CPC40120) with Master Builders Australia, due July 2027, to put formal grounding under the contract and site side of the work.
